One of the BID’s projects is signage. Our business plans states that we will deliver a significant project to improve signage and legibility around the town reflecting its image and identity.
In the spring, Hexham based company Differentia was contracted to scope out wayfinding around the whole town and to produce draft designs. After much research, planning and development, we now have the proposed scheme ready to share. Click here to view the report: Hexham BID signage feasibility study August 17
Hexham BID and Differentia would like to say thank you to all those who popped into the Signage Exhibition held in the Queens Hall on 19 September. There were some great suggestions and really helpful criticisms of some of the proposed designs.
As a result of this the report has been been updated to reflect these comments. Some of the suggestions for the Industrial Sign designs were really helpful. With regards to the heritage related signs within the centre of Hexham there were some really useful suggestions and offers of help in order to develop the Retail Heritage stories.
Other comments concern some of the areas outside of the town such as the Racecourse and traders in these areas will be invited to be involved in the next phase in order to try and connect all areas of Hexham both centrally and on the outer boundary of the BID area.
